The petroleum industry is concerned primarily with the production, transportation, refining and chemical conversion of hydrocarbon minerals form the earth. Most of the hydrocarbons produced are in liquid and gaseous from and are called by names like crude oil, natural gas, condensate, etc. Coal, oil shale, tar sands, and the like also contain hydrocarbons. Even though they exist in the earth as solids, they may be processed to obtain products with the same properties as those made from oil or gas. A hydrocarbon is the general name given to any material composed primarily of hydrogen and carbon. Other materials may be present, but carbon and hydrogen are the primary constituents. The behaviour of hydrocarbon systems is very complex as evidenced by the fact that many branches of science and engineering devote much time to their study. It is not feasible or necessary to be an “expert” in all of these areas. Andere Materialien vorhanden sein können, aber Kohlenstoff und Wasserstoff sind die wichtigsten Bestandteile. Das Verhalten der Kohlenwasserstoff-Systeme ist sehr komplex wie die Tatsache, dass viele Zweige der Wissenschaft und Technik viel Zeit, um ihr Studium zu widmen belegt. Es ist nicht möglich oder notwendig, ein "Experte" in allen diesen Bereichen werden. USEFUL INFORMATION FOR A CORRECT USE OF REV BROACHING TOOL

(for machines that do not have the y axis)*

 

  1. Lubricate the bushing (2) to favour its rotation useful to allow the correction of the prospective symmetry errors;
  2. Insert the tool (1) into the eccentric bushing (2) and house the both of them inside the boring bar holder;
  3. Make sure that the flat-head fixing bolts (5) have the part that fastens the tool perfectly intact. If possible use new flat-head bolts;
  4. If you want to use a spherical-head screw with spring (4) consider that this is nor functional for the centring neither for the fixing of the tool; its aim is to make the tool hold a steady position during the rotation of the bushing;
  5. When it's possible use the internal adduction;

* The eccentric bushing functions as a y axis and it has a movement range of ± 0.5 on y axis that is sufficient to remove the symmetry errors. For the machines that have the y axis the REV BROACHING TOOL has to be mounted directly inside the boring bar holder.

An advise:
We suggest to enlarge a hole already present on the boring bar holder operating a borehole M16x1,50 perfectly aligned with the axis. In this way the threaded dowel M16x1,50 is offering a large bearing surface and, therefore, the tool is going to be perfectly aligned to the ideal axis.
